Wine and Cheese Party PDF Print E-mail

Who doesn't like a wine and cheese party? We have found that even the most unlikely wine drinkers will partake in a little vino dance here and there. It's the perfect party; friends, vino, and cheese/tapas/small plates.

Cheese TableWe set up different stations throughout our place; maybe 3 or 4 different red wines in the kitchen with steak skewers, tapas, and shrimp cocktail and then another 3 or 4 red wines outside with some pate, gorgonzola with honey, and an antipasta tray, and then in the family room maybe a table of white wines with some smoked salmon and more tapas. I always like to have some champagne at the bar too. The different wines and food throughout your place create a great flow. It spreads people out so they are not all in one room and also keeps people moving and mingling.

Wine GlassesThese parties make great engagement parties. Send out invitations and ask the guests to bring two bottles of the same wine- one for the engaged couple and one for the party. Then as guests arrive just start placing the wine they bring at the different stations you have set up. It's also fun to have the guests sign their gift bottle. There are so many fun ideas you can incorporate in to a wine and cheese party which is why we love having them.
