Mushroom Crostini PDF Print E-mail

This is one of our favorite appetizers and it doesn't take any time at all.

Baguette Baguette
Crimini Mushrooms 8oz Crimini Mushrooms
Garlic 2 Cloves Minced Garlic
Salt and Pepper Salt and Pepper
Butter 2 tbs Butter
Olive Oil 1 1/2 tbs Olive Oil

Cut the bread into slices about a third of an inch thick. Place on a grill pan and grill until lightly toasted. You can toast in the oven as well.

Cut off the bottom of the mushroom stems and discard. Chop the mushrooms as finely as you are able to.

Heat the olive oil in a skillet and then add the mushrooms. Add the garlic and stir. Saute for about thirty seconds. Add the salt and pepper and the butter. Let the mushrooms cook until they are very soft and have soaked up some of the butter.

Place a spoonful of the mushrooms onto each piece of bread.

Cook Time: 7 minutes
