My brother has perfected the art of smoking a turkey. It is now my favorite way to enjoy my second favorite food.

Bring the smoker up to 220 degrees. Rub the outside with herbs and butter. You can also put a handful of herbs in the cavity. Put the turkey in the smoker and cook about forty five minutes for each pound. Cook until the temperature of the inner thigh is 165 degrees and the juices run clear.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 45 minutes a pound

Total Time: 8 hours
