Baked Trout or Loup De Mer (Branzino) PDF Print E-mail

This recipe for baked whole fish is one that is impossible to mess up. It also works well on a grill if you're camping.

Loup De Mer

1 Loup De Mer

or 2 Trout

Lemon
2 Lemon Wedges
Garlic 2 Cloves Garlic
Thyme Thyme
Butter 1 Tbs Butter
Salt and Pepper Salt and Pepper
Baken Loup De Mer Baked Trout or Loup De Mer

Have your fishmonger clean and scale your fish. When you're ready to cook it rinse it out and pat dry.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Smash the garlic and cut the butter up into smaller pieces.

Season the cavity with salt and pepper and the skin with a bit of salt. Stuff the cavity with a few sprigs of thyme, garlic, butter, and lemon wedges. Wrap the fish loosely with aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet.

Cook for fifteen minutes before flipping and cooking for the last five or ten minutes (depending on the size of the fish).

Cook Time: 20 minutes
