Sockeye salmon tend to have firmer flesh than other salmon so you need to be careful to avoid overcooking it. This simple recipe enhances the natural flavor without overpowering it.

Sockeye Salmon
1 lb Sockeye Salmon
Garlic 2 Cloves Garlic
Thyme Thyme
Butter 1 Tbs Butter
Sea Salt Sea Salt
Pepper Pepper

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Cut the salmon up into fillets. Season with sea salt and pepper. Top with minced garlic and thyme leaves. Cut the butter up into small pieces and put on the thicker part of the fillet.

Cook for about thirteen minutes to where the fat has just started to render from the fish.
